Medical Examiner, rules Heath Ledger dies of an 'Acidental Overdose'. Nothing much to comment on, it would be nice if this is a lesson learned by other stars but you could have said that about River Phoenix and many others. The next Batman movie will give me flashes back to Brandon Lee(Son of Bruce Lee) in 'The Crow'. For those that don't know Brandon Lee shot himself(an accident) near the end of filming. The performance he gave in that movie. would have turned him into one of the the world's biggest stars.

UFC 81 Review - Nog & Mir win.

I've just finished watching the Main-Event, that was one hell of a show put on by the UFC. I can't believe I predicted all 5 fights right.

Griffin did his usual decision, beating Tibau, not much to see there. Griffin just doesn't have the knock-out power or submissions against top rate opponents.

Ricardo Almeida, made a great return by beating Yundt very quickly with a great Guillotine submission. I think it was Rogan that was saying people had learned to stop the Guilliotine, not in this event, this was a Brazilian-Ju-Jitsu flashback.

Nathan Marquardt was sadly just too much for Horn, he beat him on the stand up and then finished Horn off with Guillotine.

Frank Mir took an early beating to snare Lesnar in a leg-lock. Brock didn't look too bad and seemed to be winning the stand-up game, and did some brutal ground and pound before being beaten by a quicker and one of the Premier submission guys in MMA. Brock needs to lose some more muscle mass and keep working hard on his BJJ, he's got talent.

Now for the cherry on top of this whopping great cake. Nog Vs Silvia. Timmy looked great in the first round, nearly knocked Nog out. Then as he normally does, he sat back in the second round looking to wait the fight out. Nog gets back into the fight, with the round very even. In the third round Nogueira finally takes Tim down on about the eighth attempt, from there he gets into side guard and nearly traps tims arm, while laying shots down on Silvia. Tim tries to get up, but Nog hooks him into a (Shock) Guillotine, Silvia taps out. WOW what a fight, it had everything. Nogueira is once again the comeback KING!!!!

This is the fourth good UFC PPV in a row, nice work Dana. Now lets see Randy Couture come back and face Nog, I love Randy but there is no excuse now. If he wins or loses then Fedor is always waiting for him in 6 months time when his contract expires.

UFC 81 Preview - Who Will Gass First Lesnar Or Mir?

Brock Lesnar Vs Frank Mir

There are so many random factors in this match it's a real coin-toss. I saw Lesnar's fight at the Colliseum, from what I've heard that's pretty much his game plan for this fight, take Mir down and then Ground and Pound him. Mir has all the skills but is one of those fighters that you never know which figher will turn up. Will it be the Frank Mir that has trained hard and wants to win or will it be the guy that turns up once a week and will be gassed by the start of the second round. Mir impressed me in his last fight, I'd love to see the guy return to form and I've got a feeling he will submit Lesnar in this fight. Obviously this could easily go the other way and Lesnar could spend the entire fight laying on top of Mir, and wearing him down. Something I took from the Lesnar UFC Show is that he looked gassed all the time and after only a few reps.

Prediction = Frank Mir second round submission after Lesnar is the one that gasses.

Tim Sylvia Vs Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

Just like 99.9% of fans out there, Tim Sylvia's boring style, sitting back and trying to knock the other guy out is the last thing I want to watch. You will never be able to sell Tickets with a Timmy fight unless of course you've got a massive name against him. Sadly this is not in Japan, Nog just hasn't made a name yet in America, I'm praying that will be Saturday night. Nog has all the skills to win and hopefully the Heath Herring knock down was a one in a million shot.

Jeremy Horn Vs Nate Marquardt

I'd love to see Horn finally make a name for himself on the big stage but sadly I don't think this will happen. I'm guessing this one has been booked to build Nate back up after Anderson Silva destroyed him.

Prediction: Marquardt second round TKO

Rob Yundt Vs. Ricardo Almeida

This is a horrible one to predict, Yundt is untested and Almeida has been out of the game for long time. I'm guessing this is another building the fighter up match.

Prediction: Almeida second round Submission.

Gleison Tibau Vs Tyson Griffin

Tibau has been winning a bunch of undercard level matches lately and is one a 3 fight winning streak. Still I think Griffin will dominate the score card, he does the takedown, Lay N' Pray, escape from submission attempts better than most fighters.

Prediction: Griffin by Decision

On the undercard it looks like the re-building will continue with Lytle and Martin, who both suffered losses in their last fights.

'I'm Not There' But Sadly I Was There.

'I'm Not There' is kind of what I was wishing after about 30 minutes of this very pretentious movie. Of which Cate didn't turn up until midway. The Black kid was very interesting, then I guess they ran out of all but the ideas that came from the Pot Circle. This was one of those movies, that reminded me of a Student Film, where few people but the immediate friends of the maker and Actors would actually have got the humor. Cate appears with the Beatles, in something that I'm guessing was ripped out of 'A Hard Day's Night'. Unlike the Beatles movie that is still pretty good after all these years the scene of Cate and the Beatles running around, with the speed enhancement of a classic Jackie Chan movie, would have had 'The Monkeys' cringing in embarrassment.Cate as usual did what she could with the role but sadly there doesn't seem to be any great roles(at the moment) for what I concider one of the greatest actress' I've ever seen. If you like pretentious artsy flicks, this one's for you.
